Guidebook enquiries
When this is off, the “Want a guidebook?” option is hidden from The Project page. Switch it off over winter when Paul is away and can’t post books, then back on in spring.
Photos taken on a phone or camera are very large — often 5MB each — but the website only ever shows them small.
This makes one smaller copy of every photo already on the site, so pages load much faster. The photos still
look sharp, even when a visitor clicks to zoom in.
Make existing photos load faster
Nothing is lost. Your original photos are kept exactly as they are, and a backup file saves to your
computer before anything changes — so this can always be undone. You only need to do this once. Photos uploaded from now on are made smaller automatically.
